Ulnar deviation is a condition which is found in most of the patients with rheumatoid arthritis. It is a hand deformity resulted by severe rheumatoid arthritis. The fingers may get displaced due to the deterioration and swelling of the joints. The proper functioning of the hand is affected by the decay of the knuckles and fingers.

Ulnar deviation is also known as ulnar drift. The primary symptoms of this condition are pain, tenderness in the wrist joint and difficulty to grip and pinch.

Ulnar Deviation Splint

The ulnar deviation may made better by using the splint. Wearing the right hand splint will prevent the happening of the deviation of ulnar area. The hand splint can improve the functioning of the hand and strength of the hands.

The hand splint can keep the wrist and fingers rightly aligned in the straight direction. The hand movements are not restricted and the hands get full motion even after wearing hand splints.
