- Exercise Regularly: It is necessary to keep yourself active. Regular exercise is essential to strengthen the muscles in and around the various joints. Regular exercise also reduces the rate of wear and tear of muscles.
- Maintain Good Posture: It is essential that you maintain a good posture. Straight posture protects your neck, hip, back and knee joints from arthritis.
- Be Careful While Lifting Heavy Things: While lifting heavy and big things make sure that you do it carefully and without straining your smaller joints. For lifting heavy articles use your strong muscles and joints.
- Keep Changing Positions: Sitting or standing in a particular position can lead to joint and muscle stiffness. Hence make sure that you keep switching positions after a certain time interval. This will reduce the pressure from your joints and muscles.
- Take a Break: Make sure that you take a small break after performing heavy activity. A rest break is necessary to avoid repetitive stress on your joints which can lead to wear and tear of joint tissue.
- Take Help: Don’t try to complete all the work. It is better to take help of others in accomplishing physical work.
