Eat Fruits and Vegetables, Reduce Arthritis Risk

Fruits and veggies are the most natural food products and those which do the nest to your body. The nutritional values and the vitamins they contain keep most ailments at bay. A regular and adequate amount of fruits and vegetables as part of the daily diet is proved to cut down risk of arthritis.

Why fruits and veggies?

Oxidation is a natural process that happens in our bodies. This however gives rise to free radicals which are harmful by-products. Fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants which help clean up such substances which are detrimental to health.

Studies suggest that certain dietary carotenoids including Zeaxanthins and beta-cryptoxanthin may help lower chances of developing arthritis. These carotenoids are found in orange and yellow fruits and vegetables.

Mark Stengler, author of “Natural Physicians Healing Therapies,” says that vegetables contain phytonutrients which play a key role in assisting the body to regenerate cells, which happens to be a vital part of treating arthritis.
