Homeopathic treatment of arthritis is gaining a lot of popularity, since for many sufferers, medication under homeopathy has been shown to relieve pain faster and better.

Rhus Toxicodendron (Rhus Tox) is taken from poison ivy, and is also known as snow rose. The leaves of the plant are used in the creation of the remedy. This remedy is good for joint and muscle pain, rheumatism and rheumatoid arthritis, low back pain, connective tissue disease, toricolis, tendonitis, sciatica, housemaid’s knee, lumbago and sprains.
Bryonia is created from wild hops. The mother tincture is made from the roots of the plant. It’s remedy is good for rheumatoid arthritis, physical trauma, tendonitis, connective tissue disease, low back pain, sciatica, bursitis, headache, migraines, vertigo, nosebleed, toothache, constipation, diarrhea and gastritis.
Directions: Take 10 drops in a little water or under the tongue 3 times daily. May be taken up to 8 times daily in acute cases. Take in smaller doses more often, rather than larger doses less often.
Other commonly used homeopathic medicines include:
Actea spic: The arthritis is centred in the hands and feet. Joints are painful and swollen.
Apis mellifica: For much swelling, little pain.
Arctium: Every four hours for pain in joints, colalgia, neuralgia.
Belladonna: The pain strikes suddenly. The person does not like stimulus of any kind. The afflicted joints are swollen and red. The pain is “sharp” and related to chills or getting wet.
Mercurius: 12, every two hours for pain and swelling of joints, worse at night, profuse sweat, pericardial complications.
