Some good news for arthritic patients- antioxidant can expedite the healing of arthritis. Latest research has identified antioxidants as having a key role to play in curing arthritis. Antioxidants, as we know fights against free radicals, the highly reactive microscopic particles which are present in our environment and in our own bodies. Scientists have found that there is a high level of free radicals in the joints of patients suffering from arthritis. Thus, there is an increased risk of damage to the joints, which causes inflammation and more severe pain. Antioxidants can help the situation.
Antioxidants are the compounds of exogenous or endogenous in nature which either prevent the generation of toxic oxidants or intercept any that are generated and inactivate them and thereby block the propagation of chain reaction produced by these oxidants. If you opt to try out antioxidants as a treatment to arthritis, it is important to get the right antioxidant supplement. Antioxidants work differently on different patients. They work not alone, but in combination. The dosage too differs from person to person.
Antioxidants serve as an effective cure for rheumatoid arthritis. Patients should increase their daily helping of fruits and veggies double fold. Consuming green tea has been shown to have mitigated arthritis tremendously. Medicos have very recently come up with an antioxidant supplement called ‘astaxanthin’. It is also called ‘Vitamin X’ and is a super charged antioxidant derived from microalgae. This is believed to have virtually eliminated arthritis for many people.
